A.2 Installing RPM package

RPM packages can be downloaded from: http://www.g-cows.org/main/download/rpm.html.

To install Fedora Core 4 package simply login as root and type the following at command prompt:

rpm -ih g-cows-1.9-1.fc4.i386.rpm

To install Fedora Core 5 package simply login as root and type the following at command prompt:

rpm -ih g-cows-1.9-1.fc5.i386.rpm

To install SUSE package login as root and type:

rpm -ih g-cows-1.9-1.suse100.i586.rpm

By default, the Cows and Cows-mkgen binaries will be installed in /usr/bin, so you need root privileges in order to install this RPM. If you don't have them, you must download the Source Tarball and compile G-Cows on your own (it's very easy so don't worry).
